I usually check these e-mails at least once daily, and will reply to you at the e-mail address you have written from, unless you request otherwise.

Initial appointments

The first session I have with each new client is an exploratory or introductory session to see if we both feel it would be helpful and appropriate for us to work together.

There is no obligation to enter into a continuing counselling relationship if you book an initial appointment.  At the end of the first session, we would discuss whether each of us felt it would be helpful to continue.  If you wished to go away and spend time thinking about whether you wanted to continue counselling and contact me later to confirm, that would be fine.

The charge for an initial 50 minute session is the same as for all regular sessions - £40.

Cancellations

If you find you cannot keep your appointment, please contact me at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time.  I appreciate being informed of cancellations as soon as possible, as this allows the appointment time to be offered to another client.

*Please note that a fee of £10 will be due for sessions which are not attended or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.  This is to cover room rental costs.  If several appointments are missed or cancelled late then the full fee of £40 may be charged.*
